HSE

Savannah Petroleum is committed to achieving high standards of health, safety and environmental protection, and it is the policy of Savannah Petroleum to comply with all applicable legislation and other requirements where relevant.   Health, safety and environmental protection are responsibilities shared by everyone working for Savannah as well as the Company’s partners and contractors.  We also conduct our activities and operations in such a way as to respect the interests of local citizens and communities. HSE performance is monitored and regularly reported on to the Board of Directors.

Corporate Governance

The Board recognises its responsibility for the proper management of the Company and the importance of sound corporate governance commensurate with the size and nature of the Company and the interests of its shareholders. The Board is therefore committed to maintaining high standards of corporate governance. As an AIM-quoted company, Savannah Petroleum is not required to comply with a particular corporate governance regime, but the Directors recognise the value of the Quoted Companies Alliance Corporate Governance Code for Small and Mid-Size Quoted Companies (the “QCA Code”) and the 2012 UK Corporate Governance Code (the “UKCG Code”) and have complied with their provisions where considered relevant and appropriate, having regard to the size, current stage of development and resources of the Company.

Anti-Corruption and Anti-Money Laundering

The Company has policies and procedures in place through which it aims to ensure that:

  • its employees and those who provide services to it act in accordance with the highest standards of ethical conduct; and
  • it only does business with persons who are engaged in legitimate business activities and who use funds from legitimate sources.
